We Matter
We Matter is a place to help Indigenous youth get through hard times, whether you need support yourself or want to support someone you know.

Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society
Provides a wide range of Indigenous-focused and trauma-informed healthcare and social services, including a dental clinic, services for new families and infants, family violence prevention, and a homelessness prevention program.

FNHA – Mental Health Benefit
Directory of psychologists, clinical counsellors and social workers who are registered to provide covered mental health services.

Youth & Young Adults

Counselling – Urban Native Youth Association (UNYA)
Free individual and group clinical counselling for Indigenous youth, ages 12-30, or contact the Wellness Centre for drop-in counselling hours.

SAJE Mental Health and Counselling Benefit FAQ
Young Adults served by the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) or an Indigenous Child and Family Service Agency (ICFSA) may be eligible to receive up to $1,500 for counselling therapy support.

Men

DUDES Club
The DUDES Club is a proven model for Indigenous men’s wellness promotion that builds solidarity and brotherhood, enabling men to regain a sense of pride and purpose in their life. Open to all individuals who self-identify as men.
